Went on The fighting Cock last night. Leaving aside the gratuitous insults about us being tin pot,, insignificant and our cup final etc which is always entertaining after a win, I notice that many of them are criticising their manager and some want him gone. What breathtakingly delusional cunts they are..
I hope he does go and they return to the good old days of the likes of Gross and Sherwood. They seem to think they are in their natural position in the order of things and are entitled to success.

Yet, their club always has the game as a Category A fixture every year and their fans can't stop talking about us and try their best to run it in when we're struggling.

A point won is very valuable to us at the moment. Anything we pick up away to a top 6 side is a bonus and it's not overly important how we win it as long as we do.
I'm sure we'd all like to have seen a bit more attacking intent but with the players we had out and their recent form a point is a good achievement. Those games are not the ones to try and play champagne football when you're in our position. Plus being able to defend well against these sides gives the team more confidence for games coming up. Also, we've all witnessed over the past few weeks that we tend to leak goals when we play more adventurous while we're very solid when applying more caution. I think we need to change and solidify the midfield before we can move on in that respect.
It's performances like against West Brom and Newcastle, and the first half against Stoke - games where we should be taking it to the opposition and outplaying them - which need addressing.
But every point gained against a spurs or an arsenal gives us leeway which we might need for shitshows like Newcastle or absolute farces like Bournemouth.
